Training

Cummins Electric employs electricians that are among the most highly trained in the industry. Every electrician we employ is a graduate of the Electrical Training Alliance program (formerly known as NJATC). This multi-year training program ensures that each Journeyman has completed thousands of hours of classroom instruction and on-the-job training from certified industry instructors.

The Electrical Training Alliance is recognized as having one of the nation’s premier training curriculums for the union construction industry, and has an ongoing partnership with the National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA) and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW). The Electrical Training Alliance has a structured curriculum that includes such areas as electrical wiring and circuitry, computer programming, instrumentation and telecommunications. Apprentices in the program receive extensive training in workplace safety and OSHA regulations.

Safety

Our electricians participate in educational management programs that ensure ongoing professional education on the latest technologies and practices. This includes training in workplace safety and OSHA regulations.
